RING WORN WRESTLING BOOTS &

RING WORN TRADITIONAL
TRIBAL WARBONNET - No Longer
Available
One of the greatest Indian wrestlers
of all time, Chief Jay Strongbow (Joe Scarpa) would electrify the packed house
of Madison Square Garden, every month with his war dance. 22,000 frenzied
fans would in turn pound the "drums" of the underside of the hollow metal seats
of The Garden as the Chief tomahawk chopped such heels as Crazy Luke Graham, Tora
Tanaka, King Curtis, Fred Blassie, Stan Stasiak, Superstar Billy
Graham, Spyros Arion and many others. Master of the Sleeperhold, Strongbow
was the consumate babyface, a great worker in his prime, he was consistently
able to control the fans with his ability to emotionally sell his moves and
those of his opponents.
On offer is a pair of Chief Jay
Strongbow ring worn wrestling boots. One of these boots has also been
signed on the undersole by Jay Strongbow himself in bold silver sharpie. They are
also accompanied with a set of boot bells, one of which has also been signed Jay Strongbow. The boots and bells are in excellent
condition.
Also being offered is Chief Jay Strongbow's ring worn
traditional tribal war bonnet. It is signed on the inside leather brim by
Jay Strongbow.
They will be accompanied with a copy of a signed letter
of authenticity from Salvatore Scarpa, the Chiefs brother and photos of the
Chief signing. They will also
be accompanied with a copy of a signed letter of authenticity from Paul Jones, CEO
of thewrestlingmuseum.com.
Chief Jay Strongbow items have never appeared
in the sports memorabilia market as The Chief vigorously guards his privacy and his wrestling
legacy. These items were obtained directly from The Chief and his brother
through the diligence of Paul Jones of thewrestlingmuseum.com

The Melvin Flowers
Collection
Melvin Flowers was
a longtime jobber who worked the Texas area in the 1970's and 1980's. He is most
remembered as one half of Los Assassins. The following wrestling ring worn
and used items are from his
collection. The highlight of this find is of course the ring worn trunks
of the legendary Johnny Valentine. All these items are accompanied with
the original letter of
authenticity from Melvin Flowers.
THE
SPOILER - DON JARDINE
Standing 6' 4" and weighing 250
lbs, "The Master of the Iron Claw", Jardine was best known for his masked
gimmick as "The Spoiler". Don Jardine began wrestling in the mid-1950s,
making his wrestling debut in 1955 at the age of 15. He made his Maple Leaf
Gardens debut in 1959 as "Babyface" Don Jardine, a protege of Whipper Billy
Watson and wrestled preliminarily in Toronto (where he also wrestled as Sonny
Cooper) until 1961 and returned briefly in 1964. In 1964, Jardine wrestled NWA
World Heavyweight Champion Lou Thesz on TV in St. Louis, but did not win the
title.

THE MASKED SUPERSTAR
RING WORN JACKET
Obtained direct from Bill
Eadie back around 1993. I picked him and Jake "The Snake" Roberts up at
Newark Airport for an autograph signing show. Bill was such a great guy!
The Superstar masks are pretty common as he makes them up often and sells
them. However, jackets are unheard of and this beautiful ring worn jacket dates
back to the late 1970's/early 1980's, when he was a top draw everywhere in the
USA as The Masked Superstar. Comes with a printed signed COA by Bill as
The Masked Superstar and also a photo of me and Bill
holding the jacket. Way Cool Piece!!

Wrestling Posters from the mid 1960's WWWF New England States region in Maine.
These do not feature "Wrestling's Living Legend" Bruno Sammartino.
Check out some of the wrestling stars on these.
When Bruno was wrestling overseas or was booked
elsewhere, the WWWF Maine connection would really call in the talent as
evidenced by this very detailed mid 1960's original on site poster from Bangor
Maine. CARPENTIER was always a serious drawing card as he consistently
gave 100%. MORTIER, TANAKA, THE BUTCHER, BILL MILLER...... With no exceptions an
all-star card! Cardboard in outstanding condition.

Billed as Bruno's cousin,
Antonio Pugliese would often be matched against the major heel (TNT Tank
Morgan) in the area at the time. If things didn't fair out to well
for Tony...for example if he was worked over by the heel, his buddy, Bruno would
later team with Tony in a tag match to kick some butt, restore his cousin's
dignity and make all right in the world. This one's got an appearance by the
legendary Fabulous Moolah. Portland, Maine.

LADY
WRESTLER
KATHY
STARR
HER
RING WORN TIGHTS!
PLUS
HER
WOMENS UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP BELT!
Extremely rare, these ring worn wrestling tights came directly from a friend of
Kathy Starr when she lived in Missouri. Accompanying the tights is the
womens united states championship belt Kathy would wear into the ring in the mid
1960's under the promotion of (I believe) Bobby Bruns. She also defended
this UNITED STATES WOMENS TITLE BELT when in Hawaii in 1966/1967.
Additionally, found with the belt and the tights were HER U.S. PASSPORT and numerous letters to kathy
from friends.
Kathy started her wrestling career in the late 1950's and continued through the
mid 1960's. She wrestled wherever she was booked. She found herself in
such cities as Sarasota and Tampa Florida and then Rochester, Minn. in January,
1958 and then in such cities as St. Joseph Missouri in July 1958, and St Joseph,
Kansas City, Missouri in and St. Paul, Minn in October/November, 1958. By all
accounts, she appears to have been based in the Mid-West.
On
April 13, 1963, at the Armory, St Paul, Minn., Kay Noble defeated Kathy Starr
for the Womens World Title vacated by June Byers.
THIS ENTIRE KATHY STARR COLLECTION (RING WORN TIGHTS, CHAMPIONSHIP BELT,
CORRESPONDENCE AND HER U.S. PASSPORT) IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR SALE. OFFERS
ACCEPTED.
