IRISH BOXER JACK DOYLE SIGNED / INSCRIBED BOXING VINTAGE ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH 1933

JACK DOYLE, boxer, singer, actor, lover, drinker, was born on Aug 31, 1913 in Cobh, Co Cork, Ireland. His life was preposterous — he knocked out Clarke Gable in a fight over actress Carole Lombard — but very sadly,  it ended, like that of so many prizefighters, in the gutter.

Being offered is a rare 8 x 10 original vintage photograph in excellent condition, which has been signed and inscribed by the Gorgeous Gael himself; Jack Doyle. Signed in bold, black fountain pen and dated 5th – September – 1933.  A great posed image of the handsome Jack Doyle, inscribed “To Paddy, With My Sincere Wishes, From Jack Doyle 5 – 9 – 33”. A very cool piece for the Jack Doyle fan. Jack Doyle’s life is more than deserving of a Hollywood film!
