On offer is a hand signed and inscribed original real photo postcard of the World Middleweight Champion DICK TIGER. It measures 3 3/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches and is in near mint condition, with sharp corners, no creases and a crystal clear image. The signature is signed in dark blue ballpoint pen and is clear, sharp and bold and rates a 10 out of 10. Very rare and desirable autograph of this most likeable, but short lived champion.

MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION DICK TIGER AUTOGRAPHED / SIGNED REAL PHOTO POSTCARD

Dick Tiger was born in the poor Biafra section of Nigeria on August 14, 1929. He began his professional boxing career in October, 1952 in Lagos, Nigeria. Following victories over Joey Giardello, Florentino Fernandez and Henry Hank, Tiger got a shot at Gene Fullmer and won the WBA Middleweight Title on October 23, 1962 by 15 round decision. He lost the title to Giardello in 1963 only to regain it on October 21, 1965 by outpointing Giardello over 15 rounds. The following year he would move up to light heavyweight and on December 16, 1966 he would outpoint Jose Torres over 15 rounds to win that title. He retired in July, 1971 and died on December 14, 1971 in Nigeria.
