On August 28,1959 Carmen Basilio fought Gene Fullmer for the vacant Middleweight Title. Fullmer would win the bout by TKO in 14 rounds. On offer is an original wire photo from the weigh-in for that fight. It was graciously autographed for me by both Gene Fullmer and Carmen Basilio at the International Boxing Hall Of Fame in Canastota, New York. Signed by both in bold blue sharpie! Photo is in excellent condition with normal edge wear. It measures 8 3/4 x 8 inches. It has the original newspaper photo attached on verso with press stamps. Great crystal clear weigh-in image from that fight.

Fight was for the vacant title after the reigning champ, Sugar Ray Robinson, had been stripped by the NBA due to inactivity. Named 1959 Ring Magazine Fight of the Year.
