On offer is an original 1952 Wrestling Poster from Camden Convention Hall featuring BUDDY ROGERS vs. JOHNNY VALENTINE. An extremely rare, early, Buddy Rogers original wrestling poster. When discovered, this historic poster was in poor condition and glued to cardboard backing. It has been rescued, professionally restored and linen backed for preservation. It measures 28 inches x 22 inches and will make an awesome display piece when framed. It features a brilliant wrestling photo of the original Nature Boy and also lists his real name; Dutch Rhode. The event was sponsored by the legendary Camden Beer of Camden New Jersey (Rogers home town). An extremely rare and desirable original event on-site poster from the storied wrestling career of the great Buddy Rogers. Just a beautiful Buddy Rogers piece!

(Convention Hall) … Buddy Rogers (nee Dutch Nature Rohde) drew Johnny Valentine (1-1, NC).

Ralph (Ruffy) Silverstein beat Ernie Dusek (2-1, dq) Billy Darnell beat John Heidemann (17:32)  Angelo Savoldi beat Arthur (Buddy) Gilbert (sub for Art Kapitan, nee Kapitanopolis) (15:29) Referee: Doc Gehman Matchmaker: Jimmy Houghton NOTE: Rogers-Valentine ended in such a savage slugfest that referee Gehman stepped in and stopped the match after they had gone only 6:20 toward the third and deciding fall. Both were bleeding profusely from cuts on the head. Camden NJ Courier-Post, Sept. 16, 1952. The man formerly known as Herman (Dutch) Rohde now prefers to be called Buddy Rogers. This was the initial offering of the 1952-53 mat season in Camden.
