Tommy Gibbons vs. Georges Carpentier Vintage Original Press Photo – 1924 – On May 31, 1924 at Floyd Fitzsimmons Arena at Michigan City, Indiana light heavyweights Tommy Gibbons and Georges Carpentier met in the main event. Gibbons won a ten round decision. Carpentier was in bad shape at the end and was clearly outboxed.
Being offered is an original press photo. It shows both combatants and corner men prior to the fight! Excellent condition, Corner chip at lower left and top right. A clear and crisp image. It measures 10″ x 8″.
