Wrestler Johnny Valentine Original 1959 Signed Fan Club Permission Letter

On offer is the original signed letter authorizing a young James A. Morrison a.k.a. James J. Dillon (4-Horsemen) to establish the Johnny Valentine fan club. A one-of-a-kind piece, I obtained this from Karl Lauer of the Cauliflower Alley Club. It is dated February 21, 1959 and is signed in bold blue ballpoint pen ink by Johnny Valentine. It is also signed by the young James A. Morrison (the future James J. Dillon of The Four Horsemen) as Fan Club President and also John McNinney as President of the Ludwig Von Krupp Division.  It is is excellent condition, with several folds (now well flattened), it measures 8 1/2 inches x 8 inches. Very cool piece! It is accompanied by the issued original fan photo (8″ x 6″) of Johnny Valentine plus a gorgeous 8 x 10 original photograph of Valentine in the ring in Tampa wearing his championship belt.

In 1959 JAMES J. DILLON (JAMES A. MORRISON) wanted to start a fan club for his favorite wrestler Johnny Valentine. This is recounted in his great book “Wrestlers Are Like Seagulls” and various shoot interviews. Being offered is the original signed typed letter authorizing James to establish the Johnny Valentine fan club.  AN EXTREMELY RARE, ONE OF A KIND JOHNNY VALENTINE signed PIECE!
